Has it ever seemed like God's nowhere to be found? There can be times when He seems far away from us and we wonder where He's at. The thing is, He's always near us. It's just that we don't pay attention to Him.
Our negligence isn't necessarily intentional. Life gets busy, people demand our immediate attention, deadlines from work or school clamor to be noticed. There are days when God is the furthest thing from our mind. Our relationship with Him suffers as a result and we begin to feel like He's not close anymore.
God is a gentleman. He doesn't barge in on us and demand we talk to Him. He wants us to choose to be with Him. He wants us to seek Him.
Seeking God might seem like hard work, maybe even impossible. But God doesn't make it hard for us to find Him. We might complicate it by thinking we need to use a formula or follow a set of rules in order to reach Him. 2 Chronicles 15:2b says, “The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.” (NASB.) Being with God has to be our choice. So how do we find God in all our lives, even when it's busy and chaotic?
~ We recognize the little things He does for us. God doesn't just work in the big ways. He also shows us His love in small ways, whether that would be an encouraging song when you're feeling depressed, a text from a friend, at just the right moment, or a surprise gift from a family member. If you look, you will see God's hand placing blessings in your life.
~ We make time to rest in His presence. “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NASB.) Try to set aside time in the day to sit in silence with God. It doesn't need to be long, but don't rush either. Praying and reading God's Word are some of the primary ways to connect with God. If you don't know where to start, the Psalms are a great place to discover God and remind yourself of His goodness and faithfulness.
Life can make it hard to be with God. But when we seek Him, we will find Him. God wants us to pursue Him and He promises our seeking won't be in vain.

God is always close when you need him, even when we can't see it. He promises to never leave us, nor forsake us
Great reminders, especially for a new year!
Amen! I love this "God is a gentlemen"
