Be aware that there is a significant difference between the reviews and recommendations on this blog. Just because I review a book, TV show, or movie does not mean I recommend it. I am simply analyzing the work and giving my honest opinion of it, as well as providing key points such as the plot summary, age appropriateness (if the reader should choose to read or watch it), and anything else that's noteworthy.
Harrison Ford, Julia Ormund, and Greg Kinnear all star in the 1995 movie Sabrina. This remake of the 1954 Sabrina is funny, romantic, and entirely unique. Today I'll be reviewing this popular movie.

Plot Summary
Linus Larrabee is the business tycoon who made his family's company a booming success. David, his younger brother, is the flirt who charms everyone and never works. Sabrina Fairchild is the chauffeur's daughter who turns their worlds upside down.
Sabrina has had a crush on David since she was a little girl. After she comes back from Paris David falls in love with her, much to her delight and amazement. However, her sudden appearance threatens a billion dollar merger Linus is about to complete. In order to save the deal he decides to woo Sabrina - with the intention of dropping her after the merger. But Sabrina may finally make him forget about his appointment book and think about love at last.

Pros and Cons
The story is intriguing and it's not your typical romance. The dialogue is witty and the acting well done. The tension between Sabrina and Linus is fun and there are plenty of humorous bits.
There is some mild language, as well as a few scenes where God's name is taken in vain. David is a huge flirt and it's implied that he goes from woman to woman. There's a scene that shows a man and a woman kissing on a bed fully clothed. In another scene the Larrabee servants discuss whether or not Linus is gay. While Sabrina is in Paris she's at a photoshoot with models in bikinis.

I watched this movie with my Mom and Grandma! Loved it. So many twists and turns brought me though this heart-felt movie. The paper weight is my favorite! ;)
The paper weight is fun ;) Glad you loved it.
I enjoyed watching this romantic comedy with my daughters. We often say to each other, "It's Wednesday, David"! Good memories.
